Admissions Procedure

STEP ONE 
 
To apply for a place for your child at The World Academy, KAEC please complete the https://app.jischool.org/onlineapplication.cfm

Once we receive your completed application form, you will be contacted by our admissions team to arrange an assessment for your child. Assessments are by appointment only and require specific documents to be submitted at least one week prior to the assessment, along with a non-refundable registration fee of SAR 2500 from Nursery to Year 13. Please note, due to the volume of applications, unscheduled visits cannot be accommodated. 

Assessments will only be confirmed on receipt of the registration fee and the documents listed below.

List of Required Documents:

  • Original school reports for all Grades
  • 4 recent passport-sized photo of your child
  • If applicable, standardized testing results and full details of any special educational needs, individual education plans (IEPs) and any Educational Psychologist’s or other therapists’ reports available. It is essential that all educational history is presented to the school prior to a place being offered
  • Child’s passport, including the residency visa page
  • Parent’s/guardian’s passport, including the residency visa page
  • Child’s birth certificate
  • Saudi family card/ Valid Saudi Iqama (for child and parents)
  • Up-to-date health and immunisation documentation (for child)
  • Good Conduct Certificate
  • Behaviour referral form; to be completed by the previous school

We ask you to note that in accordance with the Ministry of Education (MoE) guidelines for student admissions in Saudi Arabia, your application will not be considered without the mentioned documents when submitting your application.

All children must be in possession of a valid Saudi Residency Visa (Iqama) before starting school in Saudi Arabia.

Assessments

Children entering Pre-School, Reception and Year 1 (3 to 5 years old) will undertake play-based observations in small groups. Assessments for children entering Years 2 to Grade 12 (6 to 18 years old) will undertake a more formal assessment where the focus will be on reading, writing and Mathematics.

The decision to admit your child is made after we have considered all aspects of the application. All offers are subject to availability of places. With regret, due to the number of applications we receive and as per our school policy, it is not possible to give detailed individualized feedback after an assessment has been completed.

STEP TWO

If the application is successful, our Admissions Team will send you a confirmation email, offering your child a place at The World Academy along with an acceptance form.

The year/Grade group to which your child is admitted will be age-appropriate and in accordance with the Admission and Registration guidance issued by the MoE.

STEP THREE

To proceed with your child’s enrollment, you will be required to pay the first term’s installment (40%) and the full amount of the transportation fees, if school transportation is required. This payment can be settled via bank transfer or in person by credit card or cash at the school.

Overseas Applications

Prospective parents wishing to join us from overseas please complete the online application form and provide all the relevant information and documents, including academic reports and any behavioral reports, if applicable.

As per the MoE’s guidelines for overseas applicants, the latest school report, clearly stating the completed year group, must be stamped and attested by the following:

  1. Ministry of Education of the country of the latest attended school
  2. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country of the latest attended school
  3. KSA Cultural Attaché of the country of the latest attended school
